news: Nice expo in Breda during the International Graphic Design Festival, Thursday 03 June

Paper is not just for printing or writing! In Breda, the Netherlands (KOP) they will show you so with Paper Cut. An exposition wherein designers and artists deal with paper in special and innovative ways.
Paper is one of the most important materials of our time. A medium to preserve and share information and ideas. With the digital era, the role of paper has changed and young artists are eagerly using it to experiment with in their works. And not without result!
Paper Cut shows the amazing possibilities of working with paper in all shapes and sizes. A contemporary, international collection of innovative designs made out of paper. Some playful, imaginary and quick to create, while others are complicated and manufactured to the tiniest detail.
Paper Cut gives the visitor a complete insight in the enormous creative potential of paper and reveals how this material runs riot with the imagination of designers and artists. Not often such a exposition with that much international designers was on display in the Netherlands
The exposition has been composed with help of Robert Klanten, of the German Gestalten publishing company. He is well known as the editor of noted titles such as Tangible, Paper Craft and Urban Interventions. Participating designers are Julien Valee (GB), Peter Lundgren (SWE), Postlerferguson (GB), Kenn Munk (GB), Elisabeth Lecourt (FR), Hina Aoyama (JA), Brian Dettmer (US), Susy Oliveira (CAN), Marshall Alexander, Nanibird (JA), Matt Hawkins (US), Shin Tanaka (JAP), LouLou & Tummie, Hattie Newman (GB).
Paper Cut is part of the Graphic Design Festival Breda.
