'A world of characters made by Peppermelon'

PepperMelon was founded in 2007, by Fernando Sarmiento and Tomas Garcia. Initially an ardent duo, they quickly realized their capacity to grow and put their aspirations down to practice-- the very ones that define their distinct style today. Into the fray came Juan Molinet, alongside Martin Dasnoy and Ignacio Godoy, a group genuinely capable of capturing the creative atmosphere storming in the MelonLab and pouring it into production. The studio jumpstarted to a more serious profile; by then it made no sense restraining their potential to local borders. In less than a year, their name had ventured out to the world and established an international clientele, including MTV, Nickelodeon, Nike and Cartoon Network.. http://www.peppermelon.tv

We are very proud to announce Rex Crowle as our guest at Playgrounds 2010.Rex Crowle is a graphic designer and animation director, often operating under the name of Rexbox. He has worked on Black & White, Fable and The Movies videogames at Lionhead Studios as well as producing animation for MTV and the BBC. His personal short films have been selected and appeared in the onedotzero festival including the shorts, 'Violence' in 2004 and 'Legends 'in 2006. He worked with onedotzero industries to produce animated sequences for the BBC show High Spirits with Shirley Ghostman.


'The stunning elegance of Jeff Nishinaka’s paper art calls for a new definition of paper. His meticulous sculptural 3D work appears to have been created from marble or extremely fine sand or vanilla ice cream or thick foam — definitely of something other than “just” paper. The Los Angeles-born artist works mainly with white, which makes the exquisite play of light and shadow a large part of the appeal of his work.' (thecoolhunter)
