AKV|St.Joost*, School of Fine Art and Design (Breda, The Netherlands) now offers a one year Masters Course in PROFESSIONAL ANIMATION**. The course offers you the opportunity to further develop your artistic identity and to position yourself in a fast moving field.

PROFESSIONAL MASTER ANIMATION
The practice of animation is no longer restricted exclusively to the world of cinema. Driven by new technologies, production methods and platforms, innovative forms of animation now reach a broad range of audiences outside the theatre. Animation is playing an increasingly important role in various disciplines of art and design, film, games and interactive media and can also be found in such wide-ranging fields as architecture and science.

The one year programme consists of workshops, guest lectures, practical design studies, research and theory. Personal entrepreneurship and networking activities - such as expertpresentations, studio visits and masterclasses all form part of the course.

LEADING PRACTICES

In order to be able to follow contemporary professional practice closely, you will be working with leading studios and organisations in the field of animation and audiovisual production. For the coming year the following partnerships and guestlecturers have been confirmed:

Claire Cook (onedotzero), Fons Schiedon (characterdesign), Xsens Technologies (motion capture), Karel Witteveen (creative writing), NIAF (masterclasses), MK2 (AV facilities), Starterslift, Playgrounds AV Festival, International Film Festival Breda & more to come...

AKV|StJoost eenjarige MASTER ANIMATIE. 

Wij zijn voor deze opleiding op zoek naar animatoren en talentvolle professionals in de creatieve sector die binnen hun eigen praktijk steeds vaker met nieuwe vormen van animatie te maken krijgen en zich op dat gebied verder willen professionaliseren. Vanuit de gedachte dat animatie een belangrijke rol speelt binnen uiteenlopende beroepspraktijken is een programma ontwikkeld waar wij erg trots op zijn.  

Wat hebben we te bieden?

·          Allereerst MAATWERK waarbij eigen ambities en mogelijkheden van de student voorop staan.

·          De opleiding richt zich op het professionaliseren van ontwerpvaardigheden binnen uiteenlopende contexten van animatie.

·          Theorie en onderzoek binnen de master is praktijkgericht en draagt bij aan de positionering van de eigen artistieke identiteit.

·          Als onderdeel van de studie is veel aandacht voor ondernemerschap en het opbouwen van een internationaal netwerk.

·          Door te werken met gastdocenten is het kennisaanbod actueel.

·          Voor het onderzoek naar hoogwaardige technologie worden externe partijen betrokken bij workshops en portfolioprojecten.

·          Moderne vormen van communicatie zoals e-coaching en video-conferencing maken deel uit van het onderwij

Zombie Nation is al sinds 1999 een bekend gezicht binnen de electro scene. De hit Kernkraft 400 staat bij vele in het geheugen gegrift en haalde in veel landen de top van de muzieklijsten. Zombie Nation heeft echter niet stilgezeten. 3 albums later is het nog steeds een van de leidende acts op het gebied van electro en dat gaan op 23 november tijdens Playgrounds zien!

Huoratron staat ook wel bekend als The Bearded Beast from Finland en dat is niet voor niks. Zijn mix van electronica is hard en direct. Huoratron weet perfect hoe hij het publiek moet opzwepen. Dit deed hij al online met zijn spraakmakende clips maar ook live is deze energiekeling niet te versmaden
