You posed the question "What can we do today, right now to begin to reortse play to the lives of children across our nation?" Well, first we need to get rid of Ipods, cell phones, computers, video games...you get the picture. Kids are addicted to those kinds of things. And I think since so many kids are in families where both parents work and I am not judging here, just being realistic, there may be less supervision and the kids are free to spend lots of time on the above activities.When I was a child - a way long time ago - we had to be dragged into the house to go to bed. We played outside all day, using our imaginations along the way. Those were surely less stressful times.I understand where you are coming from and applaud your convictions, but I think you have a long, uphill battle. By the way, do the kids still have gym class?
