The choice of materials was driven by the desire to graphically represent the concepts of attraction and repulsion. The idea that graphic artists of all sorts attend events such as FOTB because they are inspired and therefore attracted to each other's work, while at the same time often competing in the same fields as peers and therefore representing repulsion."

With Fede Alvarez’s release of Ataque de Pánico!, in which gigantic robots attack the capital of Uruguay, Montevideo, has turned Fede´s $300 investment into a $30 million movie deal with Sami Raimi’s Ghost House Pictures (dec09).

Project London is an independent, no-budget, feature-length, live action movie with vivid, intense, and marrow-vibrating visual effects and animations created with the open source software Blender (and other traditional software) and 250 (or so) worldwide volunteers. It’s led by The Triumvirate and set in Seattle, Washington. It will be available for worldwide viewing in its entirety very soon. Very corny trailer, nice teaser though and I'm curious anyway about the results of this project. Let's wait and see if there's a big bunny about to pop up, too.

'Nuit Blanche' is a b/w short shot in Paris, captured in ultra slow-motion, in which the fleeting moment of a meeting between two strangers is portrayed. Manoukian gets it all right in this one; the setting, the music, and even the slomo come together like Mona Lisa's perfect smile. Wonderful!


25 year old Clemento from Austia created a poetic and yet vibrant macro universe in Macro Kingdom. His focus is to show the possibilities of his new camera, but the result is still interesting.
