Rhythm & Hues is a Los Angeles based world leading character animation and visual effects studio. Erik-Jan de Boer is an animation director at Rhythm & Hues and made numorous films like 'The Golden Compass' - for which he's won an Oscar (Best Visual Effects) and Bafta – 'The Chronicals of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe', 'Night at the Museum', 'Daredevil', 'Stuart Little', 'Scooby Doo 1 + 2', and 'Babe: Pig in the City'. Rhythm & Hues is currently working on 'Alvin 2', 'The Wolf Man' and 'Cabin in the Woods'.
'Land of the Lost', in cinemas in Europe in the fall of 2009, is Erik's most recent project. As animation director he was responsible for the entire production, from storyboard until the final VFX pixel. 'Land of the Lost' is a Universal film about Marshall (Will Ferrell) who has to save his travel companions Will (Danny McBride) and Holly (Anna Friel) from the Sleestaks with help from his T-Rex friend Grumpy. During the artist talk on Thursday October 8th Erik will show what it takes to get a Hollywoodstar to ride a dinosaur with a lot unique behind-the-scenes material. www.rhythm.com
