LIVE-CINEMA PERFORMANCE 

PIPS: lab brings raw, expressive, visually stunning, interactive, multimedia performances. They use their own software, hardware, music, stories and images. The members of the interdisciplinary group have become masters of chance. Technology, particularly video and audio, plays a dramatic theatrical part in their performances. The footage shot during a performance is swiftly cut and edited, the context changed and set to music. This makes the ‘video’ as ‘alive’ as the actors and musicians. Using the computer as a mixer and music, theater, film, text and humor as ingredients, projects of PIPS: lab never meet up to the expectations. PIPS: lab is surprisingly innovative and a challenge to your powers of perception.
